Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Turn your experience into recognised achievement.

What Is RPL?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the process Edupro uses to formally recognise the skills, knowledge, and experience you’ve already gained—whether through work, informal learning, previous qualifications, or community involvement.

Gain credit toward an Edupro qualification

Reduce the time and cost needed to complete a programme

Receive a certificate that reflects what you already know and can do

Who is RPL For?

RPL is ideal for:

Professionals with
years of experience but no formal qualification
Learners with
partially completed studies elsewhere
Employees trained
internally through recognised employers (EREs)
Trainers or volunteers
with hands-on leadership, teaching, or project work

What Can Be Recognised?

You may be eligible for RPL based on:

  • Previous qualifications or certifications (accredited or non-accredited)
  • Work-based learning and on-the-job experience
  • Informal learning (e.g., self-study, community development, mentoring)
  • Evidence of skills in line with specific Edupro unit learning outcomes

How the RPL Process Works

  • 1 Initial Consultation

Discuss your experience with your Edupro Centre to determine if RPL is suitable for your goals.

  • 2Submit Your Evidence

    You’ll be asked to provide:

    • CV or professional portfolio
    • Workplace documents (e.g., reports, appraisals, training records)
    • Previous certificates or learning transcripts
    • Reflective statements and references

  • 3Mapping & Assessment

Your evidence will be mapped against qualification criteria by qualified assessors.
  • 4Validation & Feedback

If approved, you’ll be awarded full or partial credit toward the relevant unit(s) or level. If further evidence is needed, your centre will guide you.
