Global Youth Shine at the Grand Finale of the JEL ISABC & Edupro Green Talent Awards 2025 University of Leeds Hosts Sustainability-Focused Celebration
Leeds, 11 November 2025 – The University of Leeds proudly hosted the Grand Finale of the JEL ISABC & Edupro Green Talent Awards 2025, celebrating young innovators from across the world who are leading the way in sustainable thinking and action.
The prestigious event was graced by Professor Shearer West, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Leeds, who served as Chief Guest and delivered the keynote address, highlighting the university’s deep commitment to global sustainability, innovation, and youth engagement.
Organised in collaboration with the James E. Lynch India and South Asia Business Centre (ISABC) at the Leeds University Business School and UK-based awarding body Edupro, the Green Talent Awards drew participation from over 150 teams spanning 20 countries, showcasing innovative solutions in areas such as circular economy, ethical finance, green technology, and community impact.
“This event celebrates not only innovation but action,” said Mr. Nazrul Islam Salim, CEO of Edupro UK. “The young minds we’ve seen through this competition give us real hope for a greener and fairer future. We’re proud to make this platform global and impactful.”
The hybrid event connected international participants virtually while bringing together distinguished guests, partners, jury members, and ambassadors in-person at the University of Leeds. Special recognitions were awarded to institutional partners, impact supporters, and key contributors to the programme’s success.
