Competition
Guidelines
The JEL ISABC & Edupro Green Talent Awards 2026 is designed to be fair, accessible, and enriching for all participants. The following guidelines outline how teams should prepare, collaborate, and submit their work throughout the competition.
These guidelines ensure that teams demonstrate innovation, ethics, research skills, and real-world understanding in each round.
Understanding the Themes
- Each team will receive one of the five official GTA themes during Round 1.
- All submissions in Rounds 1, 2, 3, and the Final must address this assigned theme.
- Themes cannot be changed once assigned.
Teams should ensure their ideas are relevant to the theme and contribute to real sustainability impact.
Originality and Creativity
- All work must be 100% original, created by the team.
- Use of AI tools, external support, or mentors must be acknowledged.
- Plagiarism, copying, or submitting work done by others will result in disqualification.
Teams are encouraged to think boldly, creatively, and ethically.
Research and Evidence
- Ideas should be supported with credible evidence such as:
- local observations
- interviews or community insights
- statistics or reliable sources
- Teams must highlight why their solution is needed and how it will create impact.
Evidence strengthens credibility and helps judges understand the feasibility of the idea.
Community Relevance
- Projects should address a real challenge in the team’s school, community, city, or country.
- Local context and cultural understanding are highly valued.
- Teams may include community engagement such as surveys, feedback, or small prototypes (Round 3).
Judges look for solutions that are practical and meaningful in real environments.
Ethical Conduct and Respect
All participants must:
- Demonstrate respectful communication.
- Uphold environmental and social ethics.
- Avoid harmful, discriminatory, or offensive content.
- Give credit where due.
Unethical behaviour may lead to removal from the competition.
Team Collaboration
- Teams of 3–5 members must collaborate fairly, dividing responsibilities.
- All members must contribute to the idea, research, and presentations.
- Disputes should be resolved internally; organisers cannot modify teams or mediate disputes.
Strong teamwork is a key judging consideration.
Submission Standards
All submissions must:
- Follow the required file format and word count for each round.
- Be submitted before the deadline.
- Include the team name, theme, and round number clearly.
Late or incomplete submissions may not be evaluated.
Presentation Expectations
For Round 4 (Grand Finale):
- Presentations must be clear, engaging, and well-structured.
- Teams may use slides, videos, or prototypes, depending on the provided guidelines.
- All team members must participate, either in-person or online.
Final presentations must highlight innovation, impact, ethical considerations, and feasibility.
Use of Visuals, Media & Data
Teams are encouraged to include:
- Photos, graphics, infographics
- Simple prototypes or sketches
- Sustainable design elements
- Real data from research
All external images or data must include proper attribution.
Safety & Feasibility
- Any prototype, experiment, or demonstration must follow safety rules.
- Ideas must be realistic within the team’s local context.
- Projects should focus on impact, not on expensive or hazardous components.
Practicality is a key part of the evaluation.
Communication with Organisers
- Teams must respond promptly to emails or WhatsApp communication.
- Any issues must be reported early—especially those affecting submission timelines.
- Organisers will not accept last-minute excuses unless justified and documented.
Clear communication ensures smooth participation.
Judging Criteria
Across all rounds, judges assess:
